PM Modi inaugurates first full-fledged international cruise terminal at Cochin Port in Kerala
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's first full-fledged international cruise terminal, SAGARIKA at Cochin Port and Marine Engineering Training Institute of Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
- He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several developmental projects worth over 8000 crore rupees at Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
- The Thanjavur and Pudukkottai districts specially benefited after the foundation for the extension, renovation and modernization of six hundred and thirty six kilometre long Grand Anicut Canal System.

PM hands over indigenously designed and manufactured Arjun Main Battle Tank to the Army
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has handed over the indigenously designed and manufactured Arjun Main Battle Tank (MK-1A) to the Army Chief General MM Naravane in Chennai.
- It was indigenously designed and manufactured by the Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
- The Prime Minister has also laid the foundation stone for the Discovery Campus of IIT Madras.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari unveils India's first CNG-driven tractor
- Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will launch India's first CNG tractor today for the farmers, which will help them to save over Rs 1 lakh annually on fuel costs.
- It is a diesel tractor converted to CNG, did jointly by Rawmatt Techno Solutions and Tomasetto Achille India.
- The CNG tractors will be more environment-friendly with 70 per cent lower emissions than the diesel tractors.

CREDAI, IPPB ink pact to open bank accounts for construction workers
- The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) has signed MoU with Indian Payments and Postal Bank (IPPB) to facilitate opening of bank accounts for construction workers.
- This initiative is aimed at ensuring financial literacy and digital inclusion of construction workers for a long term.

President appoints Justice Puligoru Venkata Sanjay Kumar as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court
- The President of India appointed Justice Puligoru Venkata Sanjay Kumar, the Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court.
- The President appointed the Justice by exercising the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India.
