Indian Army Registers IPR of New Design Uniform

• The Indian Army has registered the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of its new design and camouflage pattern uniform.

• The new digital pattern combat uniform for Army soldiers was unveiled on Army Day on 15 January 2022.

• The process for registration of the new Camouflage Pattern and Design of Improved Combat Uniform to establish ownership of the Indian Army has been completed by the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trademark, Kolkata, West Bengal.

• The uniform’s uniqueness is evident with the inclusion of gender-specific modifications for women’s combat uniform.

PM Modi to Unveil Logo, Theme and Website of India’s G20 Presidency

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 08 November will unveil the logo, theme and website of India’s G20 Presidency through video conferencing.
• The logo, theme and website will reflect India's message and the wider priorities for the world.
• Guided by Modi's vision, India's foreign policy is evolving to assume a leadership role on the global stage.
• Taking an important step in this direction, India will assume the presidency of the G20 from 01 December 2022.
• This provides India with a unique opportunity to contribute to the global agenda on important issues of international importance.

ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit in Cambodia

• The Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar will visit Cambodia from the 11t-13th of November 2022 to attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit and the 17th East Asia Summit.
• The Vice President will be accompanied by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.
• During his three-day official visit, the Vice President will attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit in Phnom Penh on 12th November 2022.
• He will also participate in the 17th East Asia Summit on 13th November 2022.
• This year marks the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-India relations and is being celebrated as the ASEAN-India Friendship Year.
• He will also have bilateral engagements with the Cambodian leadership and leaders from other countries.

ADB Provides $40 Million Loan to Greencell Express

• Asian Development Bank (ADB) on 07 November 2022 has sanctioned a $40 million loan to GreenCell Express Pvt Ltd to develop 255 e-buses with women-centric security features for the domestic market.
• These buses will serve as many as 50 lakh people every year on 56 routes in India, having security features such as panic buttons connected to command controls for immediate response to enhance safety of passengers, especially women.
• Being electric buses, the project will reduce carbon emissions by 14,780 tonnes per year in India.

First Indian to Score 1,000 T20 International Runs

• Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav on 06 November became the first Indian player to score 1,000 T20 International runs in 2022.
• Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten61 off 26 balls against Zimbabwe at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and achieved this feat.
• In 28 innings this year, Suryakumar has scored 1,026 runs at an average of 44.60.
• He has scored these runs at a strike rate of 186.24.

• According to Forbes' World's Finest Employers rankings 2022, Reliance Industries, the nation's largest corporation is India's best employer and the 20th best company to work for globally.
• It is ranked above Saudi Aramco, Japanese auto titans Honda and Yamaha, US beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola and German automaker Mercedes-Benz.
• The Global list was dominated by the American companies.

Chevalier Award by French Government

• Aruna Sairam, a Carnatic vocalist, composer, collaborator, humanitarian and speaker has received the French government’s highest honour, Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
• Aruna Sairam was chosen for this honour not only for her singing abilities but also for her contributions to the growth of the Indo-French friendship.
• When she was the first to mix Abhang, a Western Indian musical genre, into a traditional South Indian concert, her music transcended geographical boundaries.
• Aruna Sairam is the recipient of several awards including the Padma Shri by the Central Government and the Sangita Kalanidhi by the Music Academy.
• She was also elected as the Vice-Chairperson of the Sangeet Natak Akademi.

National Florence Nightingale Awards 2021

• President Droupadi Murmu today presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the year 2021 to the nursing professionals at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

• The awards are given to recognize the meritorious services rendered by nurses and nursing professionals to the society.

• It was instituted in 1973 by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

Two Books on PM Modi in Dubai

• Two books on the achievements and legacy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were released by Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Chandrashekhar in Dubai on 06 November 2022.

• The name of the two books is Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery" and "Heartfelt: The Legacy of Faith".

• These books were released at an event of Vishwa Sadbhavna, NID Foundation to increase the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity among people in the US, Australia and New Zealand.

• More than 300 veterans and distinguished guests of Indian origin were also present on the occasion.

National Cancer Awareness Day

• National Cancer Awareness Day is celebrated every year on 07 November.

• The day is observed to focus on prevention and early detection of cancer.

• National Cancer Awareness Day is observed on 07 November to commemorate the birth anniversary of Nobel laureate scientist Madame Curie.

• Marie Curie was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1867, is known for discovering radium and polonium and for making significant contributions to the fight against cancer.

Infant Protection Day

• Infant Protection Day 2022 is observed every year on 07 November.

• In 1990 nearly 5 million infants died due to a lack of awareness of protecting Infants.

• So, in the early 1900s, many Countries decided that steps should be taken for better child health care and to reduce Infant Mortality Rate (IMR).

• Europe first started a campaign to improve child health care.

• Europe Countries established Infant Protection Day to create awareness among the people about Child Care Services and to reduce Infant Mortality Rate (IMR).

Arunachal Pradesh MLA Jambey Tashi

• Arunachal Pradesh legislator Jambey Tashi passed away in Guwahati, Assam. He was at the age of 48.
• Tashi was an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Arunachal Pradesh, serving as the MLA from the Lumla assembly constituency three times since 2009
• He was also a member of the National Minority Morcha in the BJP.
• He had been a member of the Indian National Congress and People’s Party of Arunachal Pradesh.
