About RRB Examination:

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the RRB NTPC exam for the posts of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). The knowledge of the RRB NTPC Syllabus and Exam Pattern is required if a candidate is planning to prepare for the upcoming RRB NTPC Exam.


RRB NTPC Syllabus & Exam Pattern:


RRB NTPC Exam will be conducted in two stages i.e. 1st stage (Prelims) and 2nd stage (Mains). The Syllabus for RRB NTPC stage 1 and stage 2 are the same but the pattern is different. The main change in stage 1 and stage 2 for the RRB NTPC exam is the exam pattern. RRB NTPC exam will comprise of 3 sections i.e Mathematics (Arithmetic Ability), Reasoning & General Intelligence and General Awareness (General Science). RBI NTPC Posts:

As per the Railway Recruitment Board, the Non-Technical Popular Categories comprise of five distinct levels i.e., 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The posts have been categorized as per the particular salary band and initial pay associated with the respective post. Age Limit:

The minimum age to apply for the RRB NTPC examination (Under Graduate posts) is 18 years. The upper age limit is 30 years. There will be relaxations for OBC and SC/ST candidates as well.

RRB NTPC Eligibility - Educational Qualification 2024

The RRB NTPC Eligibility criteria for educational qualification required for each post is as follows. Candidates must note that every qualification (or its equivalent) mentioned in the table must be from a recognized University / Institution/ Board of Education.

RRB NTPC Syllabus for CBT 1 and 2

The syllabus of the RRB NTPC exam is the same for CBT 1 & CBT 2 but the exam pattern (No. of questions & marks) is different for both stages. A total number of 100 questions will be asked in the CBT 1 exam of RRB NTPC but in the CBT 2 exam, a total of 120 questions will be of objective type with multiple choices similar to the CBT 1 exam. The Syllabus of the RRB NTPC CBT 1 and CBT 2 exams is given below.

a) Mathematics Syllabus for RRB NTPC

Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics etc.

b) General Intelligence and Reasoning Syllabus for RRB NTPC

Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement- Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs etc.

c) General Awareness Syllabus for RRB NTPC
